Supports emergency and evacuation management

Ensuring the safety of their workers is a great concern for many sectors such as construction, mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, warehousing and logistics.

Our systems use latest tracking technologies to support health & safety measures to protect workers, reduce risks, ensure compliance and safeguard against reputational damage.

Lone worker safety management

The challenges

Many industries including construction, mining, oil & gas and other sectors require individuals to work on their own on occasion and sometimes in hazardous conditions. This makes it hard for workers to get help in emergency situations. At the same time it is often difficult for management to access up-to-date information on the location of workers to ensure their safety.

The solution

Our worker safety system tracks the location and status of workers with the use of wearable tags or badges to enable you to stay connected with your lone workers in particular those operating in high risk areas.

Lone construction worker
  • Real-time and historical data on location, routes, zones and speed provided via a graphic user interface
  • Using wearable tags with emergency call button and accelerometer to detect impact or lack of movement
  • Incidents can automatically trigger an alarm so that help can be provided swiftly

Site overview for operational management

The challenges

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Managers in charge of large sites often lack detailed data to analyze whether all personnel are following the rules and have been provided with adequate training. They face difficulties in supervising sites with multiple buildings and floors without CCTV cameras. Managing large numbers of workers, contractors and visitors creates additional challenges to ensure that sites are fully compliant with HSE regulations and company policies.

The solution

Our worker safety tracking solutions can track thousands of workers across multiple sites including indoors and outdoors using a combination of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wirepas, Sigfox, NB-iot, LTE-M, LoRaWan and GPS technologies. Geofencing allows users to set virtual boundaries to control the presence of people and assets in specific areas. Information can also be integrated with the company's security system so that specific permissions and authority is taken into account when monitoring access to restricted areas, assets and tasks.

This enables HSE and operational managers to monitor worker and contractor locations remotely in real-time to improve safety and detect possible security breaches.

Key zone management

The challenges

Large industrial and construction sites often need to restrict access to some areas for safety and security reasons, such as rooms with dangerous chemicals, hazardous machinery or valuable materials. Often only a small number of key personnel have clearance to access these areas, therefore it is important to keep track of who entered which zone and when.

The solution

Our worker tracking solution enables you to allocate different levels of access rights to your workforce and track who has accessed which area and when. In combination with geofencing this means that any attempt by someone with insufficient rights to access these zones can trigger an alarm in real-time and also record incidents for reporting.

Emergency and evacuation management

The challenges

Large industrial operations typically have multiple muster points for emergency evacuation. During an incident, workers are going to the closest muster point, which can be away from their usual working area. This makes it difficult to track whether everyone has reached a safe area and to find out how many are potentially still at risk.

The solution

By tracking worker locations and putting geofences around muster points, our worker tracking solution can provide accurate head counts in safe zones in real-time. It can also generate a list of all people who are potentially still at risk and pinpoint their location on a virtual site map to assist evacuation procedures and rescue efforts.
