We are pleased to announce that Simon Dawkins will be joining our RFID Healthcare team as Product Manager on 31st October this year.

Simon has spent the last 6 years working at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) as Head of Medical Equipment Library where he has gained valuable experience introducing active and passive RFID solutions. By implementing active RFID tracking of a total of 7,500 mobile medical devices at CUH, Simon has improved efficiency, increased patient safety and delivered significant savings back to the Trust. In addition, he has steered the first roll-out of GS1 compliant asset labelling in an NHS Trust to a total of 40,000 medical devices.

Simon has spent many hours sharing his knowledge of RFID and location tracking in acute healthcare with industry peers.

In his new role, Simon will be working closely with the rest of the RFID Healthcare team at Harland Simon in promoting the benefits of active and passive RFID tracking solutions to NHS Trusts throughout the UK. In addition, Simon will be available for a range of consultancy services around the implementation and management of RFID solutions including GS1 for assets.

He regularly advises healthcare organisations throughout the UK on the best suitable RFID technologies for their specific requirements. Andy is devoted to promoting the use of RFID technology to help manage change in the NHS and over the past 9 years has assisted numerous Trusts to successfully adopt this technology.
